A mix of personal and professional work where I rolled up my sleeves, tried new things, and put what I’ve learned into action.
Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certification
Course 1: Foundations of Digital Marketing & E-commerce

Reviewing the marketing funnel reminded me how important it is to be specific when pinpointing strengths and opportunities in any campaign—like knowing what’s working and exactly where customers drop off.
This lesson has been huge in my journey renting out my condo — scroll down to check that out!
Customer journeys came next, and it was fun viewing it through the lens of my recent sneaker purchase:
- Googled “best casual walking shoes”
- Browsed a bunch of sites
- Checked out Nike’s website
- Clicked some ads
- Checked out Reebok, Hoka, and Allbirds
- Went back to Nike’s site
- Hit the Nike store to try some on
- Bought a pair
I am now accepting compliments on my super cool, new sneakers.
This section on branding got me thinking—what does it really mean to be a brand?
As I shift my career, I’m focused on defining a clear, authentic personal identity and figuring out what I want to consistently share to reflect that.
Course 2: Attract and engage customers with digital marketing

Understanding the audience is the first step in crafting any solid marketing strategy, and it’s especially important when it comes to SEO and SEM. Here are a couple of personas I created for a course project: two people shopping around for bedding online.
Writing webpage titles and meta descriptions was new to me, but I learned that strong SEO copy is all about clear, concise language, setting expectations, and including a call to action.
And hey, as I build and develop my own website, refining this will be an ongoing process.
Search engine marketing (SEM) is something I have of course seen, but is a new concept for me in understanding it from the back-end.

COME BACK TO THIS ONE. this picture stinks, gotta find another way to talk about SEM
Course 3: from likes to leads / interact with customers online
This next course is all about using social media to promote a brand or business. It’s something we see everywhere, and I’m excited to learn how to do it more effectively—especially when it comes to growing my own personal brand online.
Stay tuned to see my progress!
Renting Out My Condo
Renting out my condo has felt a lot like running a small business—it’s a true mix of marketing, sales, finance, law, and operations.
From writing listings with the right keywords and engaging language to giving tours and highlighting key features, I’ve enjoyed applying my marketing and sales skills to this challenging but fun personal project.
Behind the scenes, I’ve kept my pricing and budget on point, handled legal details like applications and leases, and made sure the condo is well-maintained for my tenants. This process has given me great hands-on experience in business and communication.

Founding A Successful Landscaping Company
Starting a landscaping business with my brother during COVID was a fun way to mix things up from our usual workout-eat-PlayStation routine.
We marketed with flyers and social media, and through most of the summer, we were booked two weeks ahead—working two jobs a day, six days a week.
We tracked finances and customer information through spreadsheets, and the business did better than we could have ever imagined. Beyond the success, the most rewarding part was doing it all with my brother.
